Fused Glass fishy bowl

Item Details

A Bespoke, lovely bowl that has been created using cut out copper fish shapes and long strips for the reeds, these are placed in between two sheets of clear glass, and a bubble paste has been painted onto one side. It is then fired flat first to a high temperature in an electric kiln. The flat piece is then refired by slumping over a doughnut shaped ceramic ring to achieve the bowl shape. The copper when fired turns into a shimmering red/blue colour.
