Fused Glass Puddle Dish

Beautiful Unique shaped large Glass Dish. Created by firing four times in a high temperature electric kiln. 

1) layers of coloured flat glass are piled up flat and fired in the kiln to stick them together. Removed when cool and broken up.

2)They are placed back in the kiln on their side and refired to the highest temperature creating a molten puddle. The picture of the multicoloured pebble on the right is how the puddle ends up.

3) These are then reused in a different sculptural piece seen here in the Dish. It is then refired to a high temp until all of the glass pieces are melted into each other. 

4) This will then be refired again over a mould to create the shape.

Each firing takes aprox 16 hours in total.
